Back in St. George!

We are back in Utah. Not only are we back in Utah but we are finally back in our house in St. George. We are very happy to be back. Our travels started on Wednesday morning when we left Virginia. The plans were to drive all the way to Kansas City the first day and then drive the rest of the way to Utah the next. However, Jeff and I came down with colds and could hardly stay awake for the first 12 hours because we were exhausted so we ended up making it a 3 day trip instead of a 2 day trip. We arrived at my parent's house in Kaysville at 7:00 Friday night. Cede was so happy to see us since it had been a few weeks since we last saw her. The next morning we woke up at went to Strawberry Reservoir to the Sweeten's cabin for the Erickson kids family reunion. It was so fun! We left there Sunday night at 11:30. Monday was spent hanging out with family, the girls cooking and the guys going golfing. Tuesday we just relaxed for a while and then we left Wednesday morning to drive to St. George. It is sad that sitting in a car for hours seemed normal to us after those few days.

We were greeted by a fun sign on our front door, created by Brittney and Brandon McCoy, that said, "Welcome Home Jefe & Nat! We missed you!" That was exciting! Jeff unpacked the car while I started cleaning the house up so we could put things away. Brian and Heidi Wood came over with pizza and we enjoyed hanging out with them for the evening. It was nice to see some friends. One of the best things was that we were able to see some babies that we have never seen before. Well we saw Peter, who Jeff hasn't seen. He is now 8 lbs, getting bigger. We finally met Cruz McCoy. He had to meet his Uncle Jeff and Aunt Nat! He is a cutie pie! I can't wait to watch him grow. It is still so strange for us to see Brandon and Brittney as parents, I guess it will take a while for us to get use to it. They are great parents though!

I can't express to you how happy we are to be back. We are back to a place we can call home and that is the best part. Now we just have to get things in order, find jobs, get back into the swing of things. We love St. George!
